The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh has released the JEECUP Round 1 seat allotment result for 2026. The result went live on July 1, 2026, and candidates who completed their counselling registration and choice filling can now log in to check whether they have been allotted a seat.
Where to find your allotment result
The result is available on the official counselling portal at jeecup.admissions.nic.in. To access it, candidates need to log in using their application number and password. Once inside, the allotment status will show which institute and branch, if any, has been assigned based on rank, reservation category, choices filled, and seat availability.
What the allotment is based on
JEECUP does not assign seats randomly. The Round 1 allotment takes into account four factors together: the candidate’s JEECUP rank, their reservation category, the order of preferences they submitted during choice filling, and how many seats remain available in each programme. Candidates who filled more choices and ranked their preferences carefully generally have a better chance of securing a seat closer to their first preference.
Steps to check your result
1. Visit jeecup.admissions.nic.in
2. Click on the Round 1 seat allotment result link on the homepage
3. Enter your application number and password to log in
4. Your allotment status will appear on screen
5. Download and save your allotment letter for future reference
The deadline you cannot miss
Getting an allotment is only the first step. Candidates who have been allotted a seat must complete the online Freeze or Float option selection and deposit the Security plus Counselling fee between July 2 and July 5, 2026. Missing this window means forfeiting the allotted seat.

Choosing Freeze locks in the current allotment and the candidate will not be considered for upgrades in subsequent rounds. Choosing Float keeps the current seat secured while allowing the system to attempt an upgrade to a higher-preference option in the next round, provided seats become available.
More rounds are coming
JEECUP 2026 counselling will run for a total of three rounds. Candidates are required to submit their choices afresh for each round, so those who did not receive an allotment in Round 1, or who want a better option, should stay prepared for the upcoming rounds and ensure their choice filling is updated accordingly.
Candidates are advised to keep checking the official portal for Round 2 schedule announcements, as dates are expected to follow shortly after the Round 1 fee deposit window closes on July 5.
