Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the two-part Hindi-language epic arrives with a combined budget of approximately $500 million, filmed entirely for IMAX. The trailer was released simultaneously across five Indian languages: Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
What the trailer actually shows
The preview opens with Ravana, played by KGF star Yash, establishing his terrifying rule across all three realms: heaven, earth, and the underworld. The scale is immediately apparent. This is not a devotional retelling shot on a studio backlot. Every frame carries the visual ambition of a global blockbuster.

The Trinity Gods — Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva — preside over a universe edging toward chaos, and Vishnu descends to earth as the human prince Rama to restore balance. The footage builds toward what will serve as the emotional and narrative turning point of Part 1: Sita’s abduction by Ravana. That moment is positioned as the cliffhanger that ends the first film, with the rescue mission and the full-scale war saved for Part 2.
